Wedding books

The wedding gift no one else can give.

Stories about the couple from the people who saw it all: the roommates, the grandparents, the friends from before. One shared link collects them. One hardcover book holds them.

One-time purchase. Everyone you invite contributes free.

  • He practiced the proposal on me. Twice.

    the best man

  • She called me at midnight the night they met.

    her sister

  • They argued about the dog's name for three weeks. The dog is named both.

    their college roommate

  • I knew before they did.

    the maid of honor

The pages fill with moments like these. Ours are examples; the words in your book will be your family’s own.

What is a wedding story book?

A wedding story book is a hardcover collection of stories and photos about a couple, contributed by their family and friends before the wedding. Each guest adds a memory in their own words through a shared link, and everything is printed as one book, usually given as a gift at the wedding. Kindred Tales wedding books start at $129, and contributors join free.

The book itself

Not a website. A book.

On the coffee table at every anniversary.

  • Color photos throughout
  • Premium 80# paper

How it works

One link out, one book back.

  1. Start the book

A few minutes and an email address. Tell us about the couple, then invite the people who know them best. Most books are a surprise until the day.

  2. Share one link

Send it to both families, the wedding party, the group chats. The stories arrive on their own. Contributors open the link on any phone, write a story or add a photo, and press send. No account, no app, nothing to learn.

  3. We make it a book

You arrange the pages and approve everything before printing. A hardcover arrives in time for the toast, the shower, or the first anniversary.

What it becomes

One page, one voice.

An example of how a single contributed story is typeset in the finished book.

From chapter one

Before there was a them

For the record: I was there. Trivia night, question four, and she corrected his answer without looking up from her drink. He got the next three wrong on purpose just to keep her talking.

He called me the next morning pretending it was about the game. It was not about the game.

The Signature keepsake

Some memories are meant to be heard.

Keep the toasts that should outlive the day.

Contributors can record short videos, not just write. A QR code printed in the book plays each video, so their voices stay close to the stories they told. We host the videos securely for ten years, ready whenever someone opens the book and presses play.

One-time purchase. No subscription.

Two ways to make their book.

Both are the same hardcover, filled by the same voices. Signature adds those voices on video.

Questions, answered

What organizers ask.

How far ahead should we start?

Most organizers share the link four to eight weeks before they want the printed book in hand. That leaves room for the slow responders, a little arranging, and printing and shipping.

Do contributors need an account?

No. Guests open the link on any phone, write their story or add a photo, and press send. No account, no app, no password. Grandparents manage it without help.

Can we keep it a surprise from the couple?

Yes. The couple sees nothing until you hand them the book. The stories stay yours to reveal.

What if people submit at the last minute?

They will, and that's fine. You decide when to close the book and print. Stories that arrive late can go into a second printing; many couples order an anniversary copy.

What's the difference between Essential and Signature?

Essential ($129) is the full hardcover book, with a shared link so family and friends can contribute stories and photos. Signature ($189) adds video: guests can record short toasts, QR codes printed in the book play them, and we host the videos for ten years.

Everyone has a story about them. Put the stories in their hands.

Registries get boxes. This gets the couple every voice that got them here, bound in hardcover, on the table at every anniversary.

One-time purchase. Everyone you invite contributes free.
